FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials are your plant pots and planters made from?

Our pots and planters are 3D printed from 100% post-industrial recycled plastics, sourced responsibly to reduce environmental impact. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and carefully engineered to minimise the amount of plastic used, without compromising durability or style.

Where are Pretty Good Pots products made?

All of our pots and planters are printed and hand-finished in Australia. We take pride in producing locally to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and to support the Australian economy.

Are your products customisable?

Yes! Our planters come in various colours and sizes, and you can choose a different colour for the inner pot to create a unique look that suits your space and style.

In the future, we aim to provide even more customisation options.

Will the colours match what I see on the website?

Due to the recycled materials and 3D printing process, each planter may have slight colour variations. These variations make each piece unique while maintaining the beautiful tones displayed.

And not every screen shows colours the same way, so you might notice some variation there too!

Mostly though, your pot’s colours will be very similar to what you see.

How do these ‘inner and outer pots’ work?

The easily removable inner pot is designed with drainage holes to allow excess water to flow into the outer pot. This helps prevent overwatering and keeps your plants happy and healthy.

For this to work well, it’s still important not to overwater - if the water level in the outer pot is above the bottom of the inner pot, the water won’t drain properly from the soil, which can lead to waterlogging and even leaks.

How eco-friendly is your supply chain?

We’ve worked hard to make our entire supply chain as eco-friendly as possible. Our shipping boxes are made from recycled cardboard that can in turn be reused, recycled or composted. Sealed with water-activated, gum-backed paper tape that is also compostable, and packed with reusable, recyclable or compostable hex wrap, rather than bubble wrap or polystyrene chips. Even our shipping labels are compostable!

We’re always trying to be better, and are committed to continuously improving our practices. Please get in touch if you have any ideas to share!

Do you offer international shipping?

Currently, we only ship within Australia. As a small business focused on sustainability, we prioritise reducing our carbon footprint.

In the future we'll look to provide localised printing and fulfilment facilities. If you’re interested in exploring this, get in touch!

How long will it take to get my order?

Since each pot is made to order, we ask for a little extra time to craft your unique pot or planter.

You can expect your order to be ready for shipping within five business days, then standard shipping times apply, which can be seen at checkout time.

Can I return or exchange my pot / planter?

We want you to love your Pretty Good Pots purchase! If you’re unsatisfied for any reason, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order. Change of mind exchanges may be considered on unused items, in original condition and packaging, at our discretion. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.

Any faulty goods will be replaced or refunded as appropriate, as outlined in our Refunds and Returns Policy.

I’ve heard about your goal for community-based recycling. Can you tell me more?

We’re passionate about sustainability and community impact. Our long-term goal is to create a network where we can produce beautiful products from plastics sourced and recycled locally. We believe that, together, we can make a difference in reducing waste and promoting eco-friendly production of plastics.
